AN APPROACH TO THE STUDY OF INFANT-CAREGIVER COMMUNICATION DURING INFANT-INITIATED ACTIVITY SESSIONS
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine infant-caregiver communication occurring within the context of infant-initiated activity sessions. In these sessions, the caregiver was trained to closely watch and respond to his/her infant's initiated behaviors and not to lead or direct the infant.
