Abstract

"This exhibition includes works from both American periods and is assembled from anonymous private sources. It provides a small but important selection of his works during two different stages in the artist's life: the first in his youth when he was establishing his career, the second at mid-career. It is useful especially, to contrast the early landscapes with the later images of fantasy and imagination."
