Abstract
The ideal of friendship as presented by the ancient classics, had impressed me many years ago. It was through the contact with Rev. George E. Ganss, S.J., and Dr. Alphonse Nehring under whose wise and kind guidance I enjoyed studying the ancient classics again that the old ideal took on new life again.
