Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is primarily to present a history of cable television in Akron, Ohio and then to note cable television's performance in Akron at a specific time in regard to the presentation of nonentertainment, basically informative, programming. This will be done by means of a case study, a comparison with conventional television output of nonentertainment programs in Akron.
