Abstract

The scattering of a Dirac particle by a pseudoscalar potential is studied in this thesis. Chapter 1 is the introduction that explains the objective of the thesis. The Hamiltonian of the Dirac equation is discussed in Chapter 2. Chapter 2 which also includes the mathematical details needed to understand the essential elements of the Dirac equation is based on the notes taken in a seminar on theoretical physics given by Professor Tani. In Chapter 3, the radial Dirac equation is discussed for scattering state. Chapter 4 is devoted to the presentation and discussion of the results. The conclusion is given in Chapter 5.
