Abstract
The purpose of this investigation was to obtain large high purity single crystals with good structural quality of Ti 02 and ZnO. Since it is believed that the purest crystals result from vapor methods, they were used in spite of the fact that usually smalI crystals are obtained. Thus, emphasis was placed on the variables needed to increase the size of the desired crystals. This work was sponsored by Advanced Research Projects Agency.
