Abstract
Until recently uranium was not a much sought after metal. It had few uses, and it was considered merely as a by-product of radium production. The Second World War and the advent of atomic energy altered the uranium picture completely, so that uranium is now more sought after than gold and other precious metals.
With this demand for uranium there came also a need for a more simple method of isolating the metal. The following work is an attempt at solving this need for a simple and cheap method of producing uranium
