Abstract
To introduce some recent advances covering the decomposition of mixed ethers and the quantitative scheme for quaternary mixtures of alcohols and iodides is the privilege and responsibility of this paper. The first part of the paper deals with the oxidation, and quantitative determination of binary mixtures of alcohols. The last half covers the separation of the alcohols from the iodides, the decomposition of the mixed ethers, and the complete outline for determining the amount of alcohols resulting from the decomposition. Tables, graphs, and drawings have been included in the text, because the complete understanding of the method depends to some extent on these additions.
