Abstract
In the study of modern Spiritism, one is face to face with a huge collection of facts, phenomena, theories, and frauds. To sift the worthwhile grains of truth from this heap is really a difficult task. Countless books and pamphlets there are in existence today that give us all manner of information relative to Spiritism. They contain descriptions and explanations of the various phenomena produced at sceances; they put forth the religious doctrines of the Spiritists; they expose fraudulent practices at tires; and usually they advance a few theories on the subject.
