Abstract
Running all the way through the study .and teaching of geography is a network of psychological factors. The very definition of the word geography brings in the human element. In the study of geography the problems of man's psychological responses to, and controls of his environment, cannot be avoided. In the teaching of geography the psychological basis of the general educative and the geographic objectives must be considered. But the psychological factors of the child's nature and of the learning process are the points of greatest importance to the teacher.
