Abstract

The X-ray was discovered in 1895 by William Roentgen, Professor of Physics, at the Royal University of Wiirzburg, in Germany. This discovery was received by the world with incredulity and amazement. A new ray had been discovered by means of which it was possible to look through opaque substances.
