Abstract
Eugene O’Neill has ever walked alone and seemed a stranger to those about him. In his photographs you will see a mask of arrogant disdain. The tortured dreamer’s eyes, the tossed black head with its streaks of white, the scowling, thunderous face glimpsed at some formal dress rehearsal, escaping from praise, seem to confirm the legend.
