Abstract
This thesis is an unusual and somewhat distracting form of political thought. In the modern tradition, political science has became the property of the positivist, the historical evolutionist, or whomever you might imagine. In short, the questions of political thought no longer bear upon the truth of political life, and the mysterious depths of its community. The questions which I shall propose and attempt to answer relate to what I conoeive to be the existential mystery of political community. In that respect, modern political thought holds itself off from these questions, and will not dare to undertake an answer for the sake of discovering them. In this respect modern political thought refuses to recognize the totality of politics.
