Abstract
The development of teeth occurs with the rest of the body and not as a separate unit. The calcium which the teeth or bones receive is present in food in both organic and inorganic form. In all probability, the organic must be converted to the inorganic form in the alimentary tract prior to being absorbed in the upper regions of the small intestine.
