Abstract
In this treatise the state is given philosophical treatment of its sociological existence. I have tried to use the proofs of ethics to prove the right of the state in society. In so far as the work deals with men in society it is sociological; in as much as it justifies these relations and conditions of man and state interrelation it is philosophical. There are many conflicting opinions regarding the exact position of sovereignty, and some of these are herein given and discussed and criticized. Finally what appears to me to be the true expression of sovereignty and rights undertones the entire work.
