Abstract

In past years and in recent years most animals have been made a subject of study. However, very little or no research has been made on the most common of all birds, the English Sparrow. This thesis will endeavor to take up the study of the excretory system of the Passer Domesticus. In most animals the excretory organs are the kidneys and the skin, which pass of nitrogenous and other waste matters from the body. I will take up the main organ of this system the kidney at this time, with a histological study of the ureter, and leave the skin for some future date. In the study of the kidney, I will consider the Gross Anatomy, then the Embryology, next the Physiology, the histological observations, and finally the Summary with the Legends and the Bibliography.
