Abstract

Ever since the use of metals become a vital part of modern living, much has "been written about corrosion and its prevention. With regard to corrosion prevention by means of absorbed films, most of the study has "been restricted to experimentation either with commercial compounds of unknown composition or complex amines and sulfonates with little attention paid to a comparison of different polar groupings and the influence of metallic structure.
