Abstract
Vincent’s infection is a disease of the soft tissues of the oral cavity. It was not until the last decade or two that Vincent’s disease was accorded the prominence which it merits. The incidence of this disease during the World’s War as an epidemic and the large number of cases occuring since then has brought this disease to the attention of the medical and dental profession. Today Vincent’s infection is encountered quite frequently and, in view of the fact that it is a cause of temporary and often prolonged invalidism, its causes, manifestations, results and treatment are constantly undergoing scientific investigation. Due to this rigid course of study, the disease is now readily recognized in its early stages and successfully treated during its incipient stage.
