Abstract
It is with the greatest pleasure that I have attempted to answer this question. Much has been revealed that was hitherto unknown to me. I did not realize the importance of Irish civilization and its contributions to the entire world. Everywhere in Europe, it has left monumental evidence of this fact. The world does owe a debt to the Irish. Irish antiquity is the reverence of all Irish people and no small wonder when its true worth is made known. There may be many startling statements made in this thesis, but they can all be verified by sufficient evidence. Why Ireland's history is eliminated from not only our American schools but also the European, while that history of Rome, France, Greece, Spain, England and Scotland, is found in abundance, is beyond my comprehensive powers. The obvious fact is,however, that what knowledge is had of Irish history is the creation of English writers, especially in America, and consequently it is shorn of its beauty, and written with the basest prejudice by English writers. However, I have had intellectual enlightenment in this investigation and makes me a true and staunch admirer of Irish Civilization.
