Abstract
Fine arts education has declined in recent years, especially in the urban setting. One reform report, the Paideia Proposal, treats the fine arts in a different manner than is the current practice by most traditional educational institutions. I have studied the role that the fine arts has in Paideia and traditional education. I will discuss what I believe are the implications that Paideia holds for the fine arts and some possible implementation strategies.
