Abstract
The writer's present composition program was developed because of a desire to guide her intermediate grade classes to writing successful compositions. Many English series were studied and were used as guides in preparing a composition program suitable to the needs and ability of the intermediate grades. The resulting program was explained to many other teachers upon their request for help in teaching composition. It proved helpful to student and beginning teachers because it provided them with a clear, definite method and with organized subject matter.
