Abstract

If the number of books and articles written, lectures given and discussions held is any indication of interest, then contemporary man is deeply concerned with the question of faith. This concern is not new because wherever and whenever man has believed, he has. also doubted. Each period in history presents to the believer its own peculiar challenges, and will continue to do so as long as human beings exist. However, many writers, both clerical and lay, would seem to indicate that today's Christian is facing problems which could well lead to a crisis of faith.
