Abstract
With the recent increase in college enrollments and the growing insecurity of the era has come an added responsibility on the part of college personnel not only to educate students intellectually, but also to see to it that they become physically, emotionally, socially·, vocationally, and morally adjusted. To a great extent this obligation will fall upon the dormitory head residents and counselors, since they will be in closest contact with the students in most phases of their everyday lives. The assumption underlying any college counseling program is that older adolescents do not have sufficient experiences and knowledge to cope independently of mature help with the many problems they must face in entering the adult world. Therefore, it becomes the duty of those qualified individuals to assist the students in attaining their proper goals.
