Abstract
Frantz Fanon wrote this note to his brother Felix. Now he offers it to you: "...The greatness of a man is found not in acts but in style. Existence does not resemble a steadily rising curve, but a slow, and sometimes sad, series of ups and downs... I do not agree with those who think it possible to live life at an easy pace. I don't want this. I don't think you do either..." Fanon's life and ideas were in the context of a struggle not only between French colonialism and the freedom of the colonized, but also of man's personal liberation and realization of his self. He challenged--and now challenges you.
