Abstract
The impact of hospital experiences on patient wellbeing has been of concern to a variety of investigators and organizations. Studies have disclosed certain lacks and shortcomings reported by patients regarding their nursing care and interactions with personnel. A crucial aspect of patient care in any hospital is the network of interpersonal relationships which exists among the patient, the nurse, the physician, and members of the patient's family. If this network allows for mutual satisfaction of patient and hospital staff needs based on a clear perception of the desires, goals and values of each person in relation to the other, patient care is then effective; but if needs are not satisfied, patient care suffers.
