Abstract
The purpose of this essay is to set forth some working principles for teaching the Bible to children. The principles developed here should be adaptable to any age level, but in this essay I will be concerned primarily with children between the ages of nine and thirteen, grades five to eight. The thoughts expressed in this paper have been occasioned by my own experience as a student of theology and a religious educator.
