Abstract
20th century man may find himself pondering the question of the relationship between Christianity and humanism. Does Christianity add anything to humanism? Are Christianity and humanism identical, partially different, entirely different? Can they be joined or are they irreconcilable? Questions involving relationship also dominated 19th century thinking with the relation between Christianity and Idealism playing the key roles. Are they identical, partially different, entirely different? Can they be joined, as Hegel would like to see them, or are they irreconcilable?
