Abstract
In keeping with its avowed commitment to high professional standards, Marquette University is engaged in continuous efforts to strengthen its graduate education program in guidance and counseling. Essential to building and maintaining a strong educational program is a thorough knowledge of the existing program, its strengths and its weaknesses. Hence the need for periodic evaluations of the program is apparent. One important phase of an evaluation should have as its aim a determination of the adequacy of the program in preparing graduates to meet the practical demands of guidance work at a professional level. Perhaps, no one is in a better position to help make this evaluation than are the graduates who are actively engaged in guidance and who have had ample opportunities to put their educational preparation to the test of actual work experiences.
