Abstract
The purpose of this study is to separate and study the relationship between the academic and clinical grade-point averages of Dental Hygiene students. From this investigation it will be possible to determine the coefficient of correlation and intercorrelations between and among components of academic performance and clinical ability of the Dental Hygiene student. In addition to the above, the writer will also point out the correlation between I.Q. (Intelligence Quotient) and dental aptitude tests in relation to cumulative grade-point average and clinical grade-point average. Correlations of high and low achievers, as well as correlations between high school rank and rank in the dental hygiene curriculum will be included in this study.
