Abstract

It was the purpose of this study to compare the measurable factors of readiness for the first grade of a group of children having had one year of Kindergarten with a group having had two years of Kindergarten . There were several areas for investigation oft is problem: surveys of opinion night have been given to Primary School teac1ers and administrators to determine their evaluation of each program; Questionnaires to parents would have indicated their preferences; and through teacher observation and the administration of Standardized Tests in the first semester of Primary School the comparative readiness of the two programs could be shown.
