Abstract
There are a collection of axioms known as separation axioms that may be assigned to a topology. The Ti-space nomenclature for i = 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 was introduced by Alexander and Hopf in their famous treatise "Topologies", Springer, Berlin, 1935. The T refers to the German word Trennungsaxiom which means "separation axioms." The axioms tell the degree to which distinct points or closed sets may be separated by open sets.
