Abstract

A school cannot long perform adequately if there exists a crippled relationship between home and school. This study has been undertaken in an effort to analyze various aspects of home-school cooperation. It purpose is three-fold:

  1. To examine in depth the field approaches taken toward achieving solutions to the problem of home-school cooperation;
  2. To summarize efforts made toward solution of a particular problem in the area of home-school cooperation;
  3. To provide a guide for other educators.

Several years ago, it became obvious to this elementary school principal that lack of communication between home and school in a particular school was becoming detrimental to healthy academic and emotional life of students as well as teachers.
