Abstract
The purpose of this study is the setting up of criteria for evaluating creative writing of seventh and eighth grade pupils. Basis for criteria will be drawn from a study of research literature on this topic. These criteria will be used to judge creative writing of pupils at this level in order to assemble a group of compositions which might serve as models. It is hoped this effort will aid in raising standards of creative writing among junior high school students.
