Abstract
Everybody wants to be a "somebody." Nobody wants to be a "nobody." What is more fundamental a truth of human nature than what these two statements jointly express -- save, possibly, that human beings have an instinct to survive? Can one even imagine a human being (other than an infant, a severely mentally-retarded/handicapped person or someone comatose) who does not want to feel that his/her life is "important" to someone, sometime, somewhat? The point is: everyone, even the poorest, least educated, most powerless and downtrodden individual on the face of the earth inevitably lays claim to some type, some sphere of personal importance.
