Abstract

This study was designed to become better attuned to non-user attitudes toward using the local bus system. The study was made at a time when the existing bus system is still privately owned. Bus service has been steadily declining and fares have increased from 40¢ to 60¢ in the last few years. The study has also attempted to assess the relationship between the potential users' demographic characteristics and their selection of a system improvement which will induce them to use the bus.
