Abstract

There is little question that news is a vital part of life in this modern, shrinking world of high- speed communication. People the world over are concerned with what is going on around them. With ever-increasing world interdependence, the concern for current happenings broadens from the local to the state or national level, and eventually grows to interest in international events . Newspapers, magazines, radio and television companies employ thousands of persons and disburse huge sums of money and effort in order to collect and disseminate the news .
