Abstract

Adolescence is usually perceived as a difficult developmental period both by those living through it and by adults who deal with them. If parents divorce at this stage of a child's development, what impact does the divorce have on the education of these young people? In an attempt to answer that question, I researched the general topic "children of divorce, " Having done so, I have gained more than extensive knowledge. I have acquired a deeper understanding for the feelings and emotions associated with divorce, and how I can help as a teacher, counselor and/or friend.
