Abstract

Methods of teaching reading and the curriculum have undergone considerable changes in the last few years. It is the purpose of this thesis to disclose these changes, to trace their influences, to note and appraise the methods employed at the present time in some schools and the methods proposed in books on the teaching of Reading, but especially in recent periodical literature.
