Abstract

This thesis consists of two major parts. The first which is here presented, is an analysis of Beaumarchais and his play "The Barber of Seville; the second is the complete production of my version of "The Barber of Seville" presented on March 29, 30, 31, and April 1, 1938 in the Little Theatre of the School of Speech at Marquette University, under the auspices of the Marquette University Players.
