Abstract

This paper will attempt to study the lite of Bishop Thomas O'Gorman in relation to the age in which he lived and the degree to which he interpreted that age through the numerous addresses he delivered. An analysis of the structure; style, and types of rhetorical proof of a limited number of these addresses will be made and the speech studied in the light of the times, the audience, and the occasion.
