Abstract

Presented in this investigation is the derivation of the governing differential equation for the buckling load and flexural vibration of elastically restrained circular plates on elastic foundation. All solutions are obtained by solving the characteristic equation with computer program. Tables and curves are presented to show the effect of elastic foundation and elastically restrained constant on buckling load of circular plates and the effect of inplane force, elastic foundation and elastically restrained constant on flexural vibration of circular plates.
