Abstract

The term, "aphasia," refers to many types of language disorders, depending on the background, prejudices, and preferences of various professional persons who come into contact with the problem. A more specific and universal terminology is needed to enable speech and hearing therapists and/or pathologists to define various disorders in a unified manner. An attempt will be made to present specific aphasic terminologies and their definitions with the intention of establishing a more universal reference procedure.
