Abstract

This study has importance in that it contributes to research on college graduates. The goals of the study were the following: (1) to identify what outcomes of college are considered important to a university's alumni and the extent to which these outcomes were enhanced by their undergraduate experiences at that institution; (2) to identify whether underlying factor structures exist to help define the importance and gain dimensions of college outcomes and to reduce the data for further analyses and interpretation; (3) to explore the similarities and differences of the importance and enhancement dimensions of the outcomes among graduates of various academic programs, and those whose levels of campus involvement and genders differ; and (4) to provide data which could be used in a comparative analysis among institutions which have utilized the COFHE Follow-up Instrument...
