Abstract
This essay describes the experimentation performed to determine those steps necessary to improve the strength of the solder joints formed during the attachment of leads to ceramic substrates in thick film resistor network manufacturing. It is divided into two parts. The first part provides the reader with some general background and thick film process descriptions. The latter part details the experiments performed, the results and the conclusions drawn from the experimentation.
