Creator's Notes: I wrote this piece after my own trip to Japan in 2023. Obviously, I didn't visit any fancy hotels, so I had to research top dollar Osaka places on my own. I ended up basing this story in the St. Regis hotel in Osaka.

Presumably, the two women pictured in the Gold Cup piece are wealthy individuals, but we don't really get to see them as PEOPLE in the piece, as their faces are cropped out, so all we can see is their clothing, accessories, and dishes—which reduces them to little more than mannequins to showcase wealth. In my story, the reader finds herself in a location in which her surroundings are far fancier than she is used to. However, in my story, unlike this image, in amongst all the luxury, the reader discovers a touch of humanity she never noticed before about Seto Kaiba.
