Abstract
In the introduction and the first three chapters are discussed the rules and technicalities of versification. The examples of Moliere's application of these principles are grouped into tables, found on pages 46-125. It was deemed more advisable to group the examples in this manner than to place them after the discussion of each rule. In this way the reader will not lose sight of the discussion of the rules, nor of the examples for each specific point. Examples for the points discussed in chapter VI and in the succeeding chapters will be found included in the various chapters, after each discussion. This was deemed advisable since the points in none of these chapters are as numerous as the points in the earlier chapters.
