Abstract
The order Chelonla Is characterized by an exo-skeleton formed by a somewhat cupshaped, oval carapace on the dorsal surface and a roughly rectangular, flat plastron on the ventral surface, which are united at their lateral edges, between the fore and hind limbs by structures of similar composition, the bridges.
