Abstract
Organic chemistry offers a large field for quantitative investigation. The nature of many organic compounds makes for difficult analysis. The separation of simple mixtures is oftentimes a problem. The work undertaken in this thesis is of special interest because it combines several phases of chemistry, in the investigation of a problem, which by its very existence, suggests the need for solution.
