Abstract

In the modern trend, much has been done to do away with Religion or any forms of worship completely. This fact occurs when one does not have a clear idea of what religion really is, and the real significance it has in the life of every person.

It has been the purpose of this thesis to find some principles which will lead to the better understanding of worship and Religion in general. That every man has the duty to worship is a proved thesis only after e have arrived at some general agreement as to what the term religion really stands for.

The development of worship and religion from the early primitive ages to the most modern of times will be treated, with comments on each phase and philosopher according to the principles of St. Thomas Aquinas.
