Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to ascertain, by a study of the news, editorial pages, and cartoons, the general attitude of the Chicago Tribune towards the New Deal. Page make-up, style, controversial attitude, tone, handling, and scope are considered in judging the character of the paper.
